Soo Yeon Kwon

I am a Game Designer/Developer who is ready to make new worlds to live in. I have studied English Language and Literature in Sungkyunkwan University, but came to the states after graduation to pursue my dream which was to become a Game Designer.

In Full Sail University, I have learned the necessary skills and mindsets that a Game Designer must know and have. I have learned how to use game development engines such as Unity 3D and Unreal. I have constantly used version control softwares such as P4V (Perforce) and Git whenever I work on projects. I also have always used project management softwares like Trello and Jira to communicate with team mates and plan out development sprints. 

 

I am a very good communicator. My extreme strength is documentation. I have excellent proficiency in organizing items clearly when documenting using Google Docs, Spreadsheet, Microsoft Word, and Excel. I enjoy making presentation slides using PowerPoint and am very confident about it. 

 

I am also interested in localization since I am trilingual and enjoy working with people from different cultural backgrounds. I can read, write, and speak English, Korean, and Japanese fluently. I enjoy playing games in all three languages, and do not have difficulties in communicating in them. I have lived in Korea, Germany, and the US, and this experience made me used to making friends from different countries and working with them. 

 

I value all the skills I have learned at Full Sail, but the skill I treasure the most is the ability to learn by myself in my own time. Full Sail has teached me “how to learn”, and I am very sure that I will keep the momentum and will not stop learning even after I graduate from Full Sail.
